Brandon Sklar

Medical Director & Psychedelic Lead

Dr. Brandon Sklar grew up in Denver and completed his residency training in psychiatry at University of Colorado School of Medicine. He draws from his experience of caring for people using a wide variety of treatment modalities which include conventional psychiatric medications, innovative treatments such as TMS and ketamine, as well as psychotherapy. He has a passion for helping those struggling with treatment resistance and traumatic experiences. This ultimately led to an interest in psychedelic medicines. Dr. Sklar believes psychedelics hold significant promise for the alleviation of suffering in ways that other psychiatric treatments have been lacking. He currently serves on a government workgroup tasked with providing recommendations for Senate Bill 23-290 which will legalize natural medicines for clinical use in Colorado in 2025.

Dr. Sklar takes a strong humanistic approach to clinical care and believes each person has their own unique story which deserves to be listened to and treated with compassion. He is guided by the principle that emotions have deep meaning, especially emotions that are unpleasant and painful. Rather than helping others avoid or eradicate these feelings, he aims to help foster deeper understanding of them which in turn can open space for the processing necessary to existing in harmony with them. He places an enormous emphasis on the relationship he builds with his patients, as he believes it is the most important component of any treatment plan. His hope is that everyone he works with can live life brimming with vitality and exist authentically.

Dr. Sklar knows the importance of understanding and compassion in addressing emotions, even painful ones. He believes that building strong patient relationships is crucial to effective treatment and aspires to help his patients live vibrant, authentic lives.

John Tartz

Executive Director

John spent most of his career in finance and the mortgage industry helping families purchase homes and create wealth through real estate. The process of building teams and creating successful long-term relationships was a passion that lasted for more than three decades.

After making the decision in 2017 to exit senior management, John started a new role operating a small local branch in the community. John’s first day of work on July 3rd, 2017 was met with tragic news when he received a frantic call that his daughter Morgan had overdosed.  That is the moment his entire world changed.

To try and give back and process this tragedy, John worked with Shatterproof, a national organization that helps families and individuals deal with substance use disorders.  John was a Colorado ambassador and with the help of family and friends helped raise money to support Shatterproof’s cause.

Although Shatterproof’s mission is critically important, John felt there needed to be more done at the community level – in “his” backyard. John and his wife Karla started Rose NeuroSpa in August, 2022 to bring innovative and cutting-edge treatments to their local community.  Initially, the clinic offered TMS therapy through their nonprofit foundation, the Morgan Rose Foundation, and now offers numerous additional services covered by insurance including personalized TMS, Ketamine therapies, medication management, psychotherapy, recovery services and more.

Jamie Teunis

PMHNP

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are seeking support for a wide range of mental health concerns, whether those challenges are recent or long-standing. Individuals and families often come to me feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure why prior treatments have not brought the relief they hoped for. Some are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, or dual diagnoses, while others are facing periods of significant transition or stress. Across all ages, the shared goal is greater stability, understanding, and a treatment approach that feels both thoughtful and individualized.
I provide collaborative, neuroscience-informed psychiatric care including evaluation and medication management. I treat ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and complex presentations. When appropriate, I use pharmacogenomic testing, lab monitoring, and interventional options such as TMS, Ketamine, Spravato, & psilocybin.
Seeking mental health support can feel vulnerable, especially when concerns have been carried alone for a long time. My goal is to offer a steady, respectful space where you feel heard, informed, and supported. You don’t need to have everything figured out—often, beginning with a conversation helps clarify next steps and renew a sense of hope.

Ashley VanCamp (Lindeman)

PMHNP

My ideal client may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated after trying multiple treatments without lasting relief. They may be struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, or challenges related to stress, identity, and life transitions, and are seeking a more personalized, compassionate approach to care. They want to feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment, with goals of improving emotional well-being, restoring hope, and building a more fulfilling, balanced life.
I provide collaborative, trauma-informed psychiatric care that integrates medication management, psychotherapy, and optional ketamine-based treatments, including KAP. I work closely with patients to create individualized plans that support healing, growth, and long-term mental wellness.
Starting care can feel intimidating, especially if past treatments haven’t met your needs. You deserve support that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. If you’re curious about your options or ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to connect and explore what feels right for you.

Katie McGovern

PMHNP

I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who believes mental health care should be intentional, collaborative, and individualized. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and mood disorders, including treatment-resistant depression. Many patients come to me after years of medication trials or therapies that didn’t bring meaningful relief. My goal is to slow the process down, understand your full story, and help you make informed, thoughtful decisions about your care.

My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and neuroscience-based. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management, as well as advanced treatments including ketamine therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), Spravato, and personalized TMS (PrTMS). Treatment is collaborative and centered on education and shared decision-making.
As a dual-certified provider, I take a whole-person perspective and, when appropriate, work with patients to thoughtfully simplify or deprescribe medications. I am currently enrolled in a psychedelic-assisted therapy training program, provide KAP, and am on track to become a licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator in May 2026.

Ann Kropp

Dual Certifed, PMHNP and FNP

Annmarie is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner based in Denver, Colorado. She received her degree in family nursing practice from The University of Arizona in 2016. After completing her degree, Annmarie worked in pediatric neurology for almost five years. She was naturally drawn to psychiatry and this passion prompted her to pursue her postgraduate certificate in psychiatric mental health. She gained extensive psychiatric experience during her clinical rotations and now has experience treating clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

Annmarie has the goal to provide patient-centered evidence-based care. She has a strong belief in collaborating with her clients to develop a plan that they feel confident with. She also believes great patient care includes patient education, additional resources, and alternative options that may facilitate treatment. Her focus is on the holistic nursing model of treating the whole person. Annmarie provides patients with recommendations for medications, counseling, complementary alternative therapies, and lifestyle change strategies. Other treatment option specialties include TMS, Spravato/Ketamine, and genesight.

Emily Sisa

Dual Certifed, PMHNP and FNP

Emily Sisa is dual certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner and graduate of the George Washington University with her Master of Science in Nursing. She is a third-generation nurse who grew up in Northern Virginia and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 2011.

Mark McNeary

Licensed professional counselor

Mark has an unusual background for a mental health counselor. In his 20s, he was a Navy helicopter pilot who flew combat missions in the Gulf War. In his 30s, he was an economist. In his 40s he was a self-employed investment advisor. After obtaining a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, he splits his time between meeting with clients at Rose NeuroSpa, and in private practice, where he helps clients deal with trauma, anxiety, depression, and various relational struggles.

Mark’s approach in therapy is less about offering coping strategies and more about pursuing a disciplined inquiry into the client’s world view and lived experience. The client is seen as the expert in his or her own life. As the client gains a deeper understanding of themselves, and how they relate to the world around them, they can grow in ways that makes life more satisfying.

Mark has specific training and experience in Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy as well as training in psychedelic integration. In sessions with Mark, psychological difficulties are more likely to be conceptualized as problems in living rather than some sort of mental disorder or deficiency. With the right therapeutic relationship and environment, most people can sort things out and live more joyful, peaceful lives.

Jordan Ryan

Licensed professional counselor

I’ve been practicing for six years, and my work is rooted in trauma healing. I focus exclusively on complex trauma and the symptoms that grow in its wake, such as anxiety, depression, dissociation, eating disorders, addiction, relationship struggles, and the painful patterns people can’t seem to shift no matter how hard they try.

I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and practice EMDR. I offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with experienced medical staff at Rose NeuroSpa. For many people who feel like traditional talk therapy hasn’t helped enough, or has reached its limit, KAP paired with IFS can open new space for insight, clarity, and healing that once felt out of reach.

In my practice, I help people from all walks of life find lasting relief from the ache of anxiety, depression, and trauma. You never have to censor your emotions or experiences with me because no topic is off limits. Clients often tell me they feel deeply seen and understood, while also gently supported in shifting patterns that no longer serve them.

I approach healing with a sense of spiritual curiosity. I am open to spiritual mystery while still grounded in the science of how people heal. I don’t hold fixed beliefs about what spirituality should mean, and I never expect clients to adopt any specific worldview. Instead, I stay attentive to whatever helps someone feel connected, whether that connection comes through creativity, intuition, or a deeper sense of presence. My role is to help people explore their inner world in a way that feels safe and aligned with their own experience.

I love working with people who’ve felt like their pain has become the main story they know. Together, we trace that story back to its roots, like patiently untying a tangled knot, so the emotions that were once overwhelming can finally loosen their grip on your identity and your relationships. From there, we begin the work of reclaiming freedom, authenticity, and a life that feels like it genuinely belongs to you.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent nine years at Texas Tech University as an administrator and English professor. My years in the classroom taught me how often people hide the most tender parts of themselves, and how meaningful it is when those parts are welcomed instead of pushed aside.

Outside the therapy room, music is my greatest passion. I’ve been a drummer for 23 years, and I’m constantly discovering new artists, exploring new genres, and attending concerts whenever I can. Music has taught me to stay present with whatever is unfolding, and that same quality guides my
therapeutic approach.
